Awesome New Find
I just happened upon MOCCA - The Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art, on Broadway between Houson and Prince Streets. They seem to be pretty busy folk.
MOCCA Mondays feature lectures or movie screenings, and I am particularly interested in attending their lecture series, "1986: The Year that Changed Comics." There's a lecture on June 5th under that heading, entitled "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" that might be the best thing ever.
Also, on June 10th & 11th, they're hosting the MOCCA Art Festival in the Puck Building. A talk on The Art of Cartooning and the New Yorker is particularly appealing, but there is a whole weekend of options.
